So, I got an internship with Canyon News in Beverly Hills and I just started last week. I’m working in their Photo, Editorial and Graphics departments. I only go in on Mondays, which is good because it takes forever; I’m really starting to hate the 405.
Anyways, as a beginning assignment I was sent to take pictures of the surrounding Beverly Hills area. The photos are meant to show how I see Beverly Hills, and these are my faves.
This guy locked his keys in his car.
Their parking meters take credit cards! So weird.
Lana Marks, the designer of Lana Marks handbags!
Crumbs Cupcakes - I'm totally getting some on Monday.
Our first visit to Vegas as 21-year-olds. I wasn’t in a very picture-taking mode while there, but I’m annoyed I didn’t get any photos of me with the MGM tigers. rawr.
our first legal drink in Vegas!
- We used a lot of coupons :D and got a lot of crappy free stuff, like this thing.
These crazy, and probably drunk, old ppl laid down on the ground and watched the Freemont Street Experience and then the woman in the chair started driving around them in circles. It was hilarious.
Jason won a jackpot on a machine in Hooters, but it's part of a promotion so we didn't get anything.
Then we saw Matt. He's fun :)
I’m never taking a flight with 4 transfers… ever… again.
A small group of us decided to spend a week in Barcelona after one particular savy friend of mine found a ridiculously cheap flight. Barcelona is like all the other European cities; it has great architecture and a very lively nightlife. We were also shocked to find the prices in grocery stores for alcohol, water, and bread were so low. Coming back to the states was almost painful, now everytime I go to the store I feel like I’m being ripped off.
None of us spoke a lot of Spanish or Catalan, but everyone there was so patient and friendly we got along fine with the basics. Our Spanish friend Luis really helped us out the first couple days as well.
Personally, I don’t consider Barcelona a very touristy city. It has the Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família, and the Park Güell designed by Gaudí but the city is so laid back it’s hard to get caught up in the uber touristy stuff. Barcelona is definitely a city I would love to live in for a month. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like the best way to see this city is to live, work and play in it for a while. I can’t wait to go back one day.
French sunset over our plane's wing
we were severly jet lagged/felt like shit/exhausted
On the beach
LUIS! our Spanish friend.
So for the weekend Jason, his sister Michelle, and I flew to Vancouver to visit some friends and have an excuse to travel. The Vancouver area is so beautiful, it was kind of sad how amazed we were at the amount of trees and parks that were everywhere.
We had a two hour lay over in Salt Lake
Canda has the best foodstuff
Our rental car: Kia Rondo... I love this car.
Ridiculously small fan
Cherry Blossom Trees were everywhere.
The style of houses were really different but pretty.

Christmas lights made the room.
Penn and Teller's Theatre (horrible lighting = horrible picture)
Jason and I saw Penn and Teller’s Magic show at the Rio in LV. It was really funny and interesting. I recommend it to everyone. Penn and Teller were both signing autographs and taking pictures with fans at the exits, it was really cool of them. Go see it!
I love how Teller is resting his head upon Jason.
Fireworks were shot from the ground this year, and it sucked
and drinks were everywhere
